Christ Church Intermediate College
Christ Church Intermediate College has come a long way. It was started sometime in 1820 by the East India Company by the name of Free School. Later in 1840 it was taken over by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (SPG) to provide education to Christian Children and also the children of the faiths. The name was changed to Mission School and later to High School affiliated to Calcutta University till the formation of the U.P. Board, Allahabad in 1921. In 1958 the institution was raised to Intermediate and after independence it came under the Church of India and from the year 1970, the said church came under the umbrella of church of North India (C.N.I.), and since then it is governed by the Diocesan Education Board (D.E.B.) constituted by the Diocesan Council, Diocese of Agra, Church of North India.
